IPv6 Tunnelling

The transition period from IPv4 to IPv6 on the Internet will not be an overnight job. This means that for sending IPv6 packets over IPv4 topologies there must be a logical technique. This technique is called “IPv6 Tunnelling,” sometimes referred to as encapsulation. Tunnelling is the routing of IPv6 packets over IPv4 topologies. Currently there is six main ways of tunnelling IPv6 packets over IPv4 infrastructures.
